On the morning of March 7, Ben Thanh Corporation held its 17th Party Executive Committee Conference to address several key agenda items: evaluating the 2023 performance results, establishing 2024 directives, reviewing the 2024 supervision programs of both the Standing Party Committee and Inspection Commission, discussing the 2024 anti-corruption program, and electing additional members to the Party Committee’s Inspection Commission. The conference was attended by representatives from various City Party Committee departments responsible for the Corporation’s Party affairs, along with Executive Committee members, Inspection Commission members, and leaders from Party departments and mass organizations within the Corporation.
In 2023, business performance across the corporate system showed positive results, with 16 out of 25 enterprises (including the parent company) exceeding their revenue and profit targets, while recruiting 27 new Party members. The Corporation’s leadership demonstrated strong management capabilities, proactively implementing regulations for personnel management, capital representatives, and appointed officials. The Corporation maintained its focus on human resource development and workforce rejuvenation, ensuring timely replacements during transitions while advancing system-wide technological applications that yielded practical benefits. Both the Corporation and its member enterprises prioritized employee welfare, fostering trust and loyalty among the workforce. Additionally, Party building and organizational activities were implemented comprehensively and on schedule, maintaining steady Party membership growth.
For 2024, the Corporation is committed to achieving the key objectives outlined in the 5th Party Congress Resolution, effectively implementing various central, municipal, and corporate directives regarding Party building, political system reform, and anti-corruption efforts. There will be continued emphasis on raising awareness, responsibility, and political determination among Party organizations and members.
During the conference, the Standing Party Committee and Inspection Commission presented draft programs for 2024 monitoring and anti-corruption initiatives. This year’s inspection program assigns specific responsibilities to Party members and Inspection Commission members for gathering public opinion information and conducting organizational inspections. The Party Committee will also innovate its approaches to anti-corruption advocacy in 2024, enhancing awareness among officials, Party members, and employees about the significance of preventing corruption and moral degradation.
The conference elected two new members to the Inspection Commission for Term V (2020-2025): Mr. Ninh Duc Thang (Deputy Head of Party Propaganda Department and Party Office Specialist) and Ms. Bui Thi Thu Thuy (Director of the Legal Department and Chief of the Board of Members Office).
In conclusion, Mr. Phan Van Quang, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Members, outlined key priorities: achieving Term V Party Congress objectives, adhering to the 2021-2025 business and development strategy, enhancing direct business operations at the parent company, effectively managing Phase 1 and completing legal requirements for Phase 2 of Emerald Ho Tram Resort, proactively implementing privatization as per the Prime Minister’s decision, maintaining strict cost control, promoting internal consumption across the system, and reviewing progress on Congress Resolution targets.
