In celebration of the 94th anniversary of the Party’s Mass Mobilization (October 15, 1930 – October 15, 2024), the 35th anniversary of Benthanh tourist, the 27th anniversary of Benthanh group, and the congresses of grassroots Party Cells for the 2023–2025 term leading up to the BenThanh Tourist Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, the BenThanh Tourist Party Committee organized the 2024 Journey to the Roots program on October 24–25, 2024, under the theme “Connecting Journeys – Leading Success.”
The event was attended by representatives of the Benthanh Group Party Committee and Youth Union, along with more than 54 Party members, outstanding individuals, and guests of Benthanh tourist.
The delegation visited and offered incense at the memorial statue of Heroic Martyr Vo Thi Sau in Phuoc Long Commune, Dat Do District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. They also toured the commemorative house and listened to stories about the legendary daughter of Dat Do, who bravely sacrificed herself for the country at a young age. The image of Vo Thi Sau— the first and youngest female prisoner executed in Con Dao— remains a shining example of patriotism, unwavering loyalty to the Party, and an inspiring ideal for future generations to follow.
On the same day, the delegation visited the Minh Dam resistance base in Phuoc Hai Town, Dat Do District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, which was recognized as a National Historic Site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in 1993. This base served as a leadership center during Vietnam’s resistance wars and stands as an enduring symbol of revolutionary heroism and the unyielding fighting spirit of soldiers and civilians in national defense. In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation offered incense in tribute to the 2,642 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and freedom.
At this historic site, the Benthanh tourist Party Committee held a Party admission ceremony for two outstanding individuals: Nguyen Thi Thuy from the Travel Services Party Cell and Le Thai Quy from the Hospitality Party Cell.
On this occasion, the benthanh tourist Party Committee also organized vibrant team-building activities, including “Team Records” and “Unity Shirt,” as well as a Party member networking event under the theme “Connecting Journeys – Leading Success.” Additionally, a review and recognition ceremony was held for the Party Committee’s activities in the first nine months of 2024. The company’s Party Committee awarded commendations to seven teams and 23 individuals for their outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, for excellence in mass mobilization, and for successfully completing their 2023 duties.
The 2024 Journey to the Roots provided Benthanh tourist officials and Party members with an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s heroic history. It also fostered experience-sharing and learning among members, strengthened solidarity, enhanced individual responsibility, and inspired pride and dedication toward the company’s sustainable development in the future.
