On January 28, at the Phu Nhuan Conference & Wedding Restaurant, 100 underprivileged worker families from the Benthanh Group who were unable to return to their hometowns for Tet participated in the 2024 “Tet Reunion – Spring of Gratitude” program, organized by the corporation’s Trade Union. Attending the event were Tran Manh Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Benthanh Group Party Committee, and Vo Thi Tuyet Loan, representative of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
The families shared moments of joy, capturing instant commemorative photos, gathering around traditional Tet meals, enjoying magic performances, and participating in a karaoke contest. Children delighted in receiving adorable animal figures crafted from coconut leaves and festive lucky money envelopes. Each family was also gifted Tet essentials worth VND 300,000 and cash support of VND 700,000 from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
This initiative is part of the city’s broader plan to support workers and union members during Tet, particularly in enterprises struggling due to reduced orders and business downturns, which have impacted salaries and bonuses. In addition to this program, various other supportive initiatives from the Trade Union, such as the Online Market Fair, the “Loving Spring Stall,” the “Ticket of Kindness” program, and Tet gifts, have helped ease difficulties for workers. Regardless of scale, these initiatives carry deep humanitarian value, strengthening workers’ trust in the Trade Union and their bond with their employers.
