In celebration of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2024), Benthanh Group held a dialogue conference on the afternoon of March 27, 2024, between the Standing Party Committee and key officers of the Trade Union and Youth Union of the corporation. The event also included a review of the 2023 activities and the implementation of the 2024 action plan for both organizations.
The conference was attended by Mr. Phan Van Quang – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Members’ Council of Benthanh Group; Mr. Tran Manh Ha – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and key officers of the two organizations from various units.
Prior to the dialogue session, the Party Committee of Benthanh Group recognized and rewarded outstanding individuals and collectives under the “Skillful Mass Mobilization in 2023” initiative. A total of seven collectives and eight individuals from Party and mass organizations across the system were honored for their exceptional achievements in labor and effective public mobilization efforts.
During the dialogue, Trade Union and Youth Union officers received further clarification on the Party Committee’s leadership and direction for the future activities of both organizations. The conference also facilitated discussions on various topics, including labor union activities, youth movements, the training and development of outstanding Youth Union members for Party admission consideration, digital transformation among union members, the organization of engagement activities, support from unit leadership regarding time and financial resources for union activities, and policies of the Party and the State concerning union members and youth in the upcoming equitization phase. The leadership of Benthanh Group and the Party Committee addressed all concerns, proposals, and recommendations, providing transparent information to ensure better understanding of the corporation’s policies on youth and union development. The conference also served as a platform for young employees to express their thoughts, aspirations, and suggestions regarding the implementation of mass organization policies at the grassroots level.
According to the report presented at the conference, in 2023, the Trade Union and Youth Union of Benthanh Group introduced 40 outstanding Youth Union members for Party admission consideration. The two organizations also coordinated various initiatives and outstanding projects, including the 2023 “For Benthanh Group Workers” Day, the inauguration of the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space, the mid-term review of the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW on continuing the execution of Directive No. 05-CT/TW by the Politburo regarding the promotion of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle, as well as the organization of the grassroots and corporate-level Trade Union congresses for the 2023–2028 term.
For 2024, the Trade Union and Youth Union will continue reviewing and striving to meet key targets, contributing to the successful implementation of the resolution from the 5th Party Congress of Benthanh Group for the 2020–2025 term.
On this occasion, outstanding collectives and individuals were recognized for their achievements. Four collectives and ten individuals received commendations from the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor, while 25 collectives and 37 individuals received recognition from the Benthanh Group Trade Union. For the Youth Union, four collectives received awards from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, and 17 collectives along with 28 individuals were honored by the Benthanh Group Youth Union for their excellent performance in 2023.
