Extended Executive Committee Conference: 9-Month Preliminary Review of 2024

On the morning of October 15, Benthanh Group held the 23rd Executive Committee Conference to evaluate the results of the first nine months of 2024 and set out key directions and tasks for the final three months of the year. Attending the conference were representatives from the Party Committees of the City Party Committee responsible for Party affairs at Benthanh Group, along with members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee members, the Members’ Council, the Board of General Directors, and key executives of the corporation.

At the conference, four collectives were awarded the city’s emulation flags for their outstanding achievements in work and for leading the emulation bloc under Benthanh Group – One Member Limited Liability Company in 2023. The awarded units included Benthanh Services Joint Stock Company, Benthanh Tourism Services Joint Stock Company, Benthanh Group’s Human Resources Department, and Hoc Mon Trading Joint Stock Company. These flags were presented by Benthanh Group’s Emulation and Commendation Council during the 45th-anniversary celebration of Hoc Mon Trading Joint Stock Company.

In the first nine months of 2024, the entire Benthanh Group system recorded revenue of VND 20,662 billion, reaching 68.4% of the annual plan and reflecting a 12.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Profits stood at VND 773 billion, achieving 80.8% of the annual plan and marking a 74.1% growth.

According to the report presented at the conference, enterprises within the system have maintained financial stability. Specifically, in terms of revenue, 16 out of 26 enterprises achieved over 75% of their planned revenue, while 18 out of 25 enterprises met over 75% of their profit targets, making positive contributions to the overall performance of the system. Over the past nine months, Party-building activities have yielded positive results, with full dissemination and implementation of directives, regulations, and new policies from the City Party Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat across all units. Information dissemination efforts have been consistently and promptly carried out for officials, Party members, union members, and employees throughout the system. The ideological stance of the workforce has remained stable. The Party Committee has actively promoted resolutions from Party Congresses, the 2024 theme of Party building and digital transformation, and the three-year review of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW. Key Party documents and policies have also been widely communicated. Regarding organizational work, the Party Committee has conducted evaluations of Party organizations’ quality for 2023, admitted 17 new Party members, adjusted the planning of Party committees at the unit and corporate levels, and established four new Party cells following the dissolution of the Office Party Committee. A review of key targets for the 2025-2030 Congress has been conducted, with 21 out of 22 targets achieved.

For the fourth quarter of 2024, the Party Committee will focus on key tasks, including completing the 2024 and term plans, advancing digital transformation and IT applications, proceeding with the equitization and restructuring of Benthanh Group, enhancing human resource quality, finalizing the development objectives for the 2025-2030 period, disseminating new resolutions and directives, organizing political activities, reviewing personnel standards for the Party Congress, completing the Party membership admission plan, intensifying inspections and supervision, and reinforcing anti-corruption measures and law enforcement.

Contributions at the conference centered on various topics, including the equitization process and future business direction of Benthanh Group in the remaining months of 2024, preparations for Party Congress personnel at all levels, labor union activities and employee welfare, preparations for the pilot Party Congress at Benthanh Tourist Services Joint Stock Company, and the review of Party Congress targets and draft Congress documents.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Phan Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Members’ Council, emphasized key tasks: leveraging year-end market opportunities to drive business growth and fulfill plans, particularly for the Parent Company and Benthanh – Ho Tram Branch; implementing directives on the equitization and restructuring of Benthanh Group for the 2020-2025 period; completing Party performance evaluations and assessments by November 30, 2024, and preparing personnel for the upcoming term; finalizing draft documents for the pilot Party Congress scheduled for January 2025; and reviewing Party committee planning for the 2025-2030 term in October 2024. He also called on all officials and Party members to continue striving to accomplish the 2024 and term goals while preparing for the 6th Party Congress of Benthanh Group.

On this occasion, Benthanh Group held a tribute ceremony for three senior officials: Mr. Dang Huu Hoa, former Standing Committee Member, Chairman of the Party Inspection Committee, and Chief Internal Auditor of Benthanh Group; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thao, Deputy General Director and Party Secretary of Hoc Mon Trading Joint Stock Company (Hotraco), former Executive Committee Member of Benthanh Group’s Party Committee; and Mr. Dang Minh Duc, Member of the Board of Directors and Head of Internal Cost Control at Lidovit Industrial & Trading Joint Stock Company. This ceremony honored their dedication and significant contributions over the years.
