On the morning of May 31, Benthanh Group convened the 19th Conference of its Party Executive Committee at the Group\u2019s headquarters. The conference was attended by representatives from the Party Committees of the City Party Committee overseeing Party affairs at Benthanh Group, alongside members of the Party Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee, and heads and deputy heads of Party-affiliated committees and mass organizations within the Group.<\/span><\/p>\n

The conference reviewed a summary report on the Group\u2019s first-quarter performance, highlighting key figures: the total system-wide revenue was estimated at VND 7,312 billion, reaching 23.6% of the annual plan and marking a 21.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Pre-tax profit across the system stood at VND 136 billion, fulfilling 15.3% of the target. Specifically, the parent company recorded an estimated revenue of VND 60.2 billion for Q1 2024, achieving 15.3% of the plan and surging by 85.8% year-on-year, driven by the business activities of Sei Dining Lounge and Benthanh Ho Tram Branch. The parent company\u2019s estimated pre-tax profit was VND 20.8 billion, meeting 12% of the target and soaring by 191.5% compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, 17 out of 27 subsidiaries successfully held their 2024 Annual General Meetings of Shareholders during this quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n

The conference also conducted a review of the personnel planning for the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 and 2025-2030 tenures. On this occasion, the Party Standing Committee proposed to the Party Executive Committee the establishment of three subcommittees to prepare for the upcoming Party Congress: the Personnel Subcommittee, the Documents Subcommittee, and the Organizational and Logistics Subcommittee. Additionally, the conference implemented Decision No. 147\/Q\u0110-TW, issued on May 14, 2024, by the Central Committee regarding the standardized working regulations for Party committees in state-owned enterprises, serving as a foundation for the development of Benthanh Group\u2019s Party working regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the discussions, various contributions were made, emphasizing the need to clearly define the Group\u2019s core business sectors and establish an appropriate operational model in anticipation of potential equitization decisions by the city authorities. There was also a strong call for expediting the completion and implementation of the Group\u2019s restructuring plan to ensure stability and foster economic growth. Moreover, participants stressed the importance of identifying the Group\u2019s strengths and weaknesses to formulate a well-defined strategic direction for future development. Despite facing numerous challenges in both Party affairs and business operations, the member companies demonstrated resilience in fulfilling their assigned targets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Representatives from the Party Committees of the City Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated Benthanh Group\u2019s achievements in recent times. They underscored the necessity of reviewing key targets set in the resolutions, aligning them with the standardized working regulations, and ensuring comprehensive preparations for the upcoming Party Congress. Focus areas include drafting the congress documents, establishing the three preparatory subcommittees, and executing all necessary organizational tasks to ensure the success of the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his concluding remarks, Phan Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Members\u2019 Council, outlined several key directives: continuing efforts to achieve the objectives set for the Party Congress of Benthanh Group for Term V; adhering closely to the Group\u2019s strategic business and investment development plan for the 2021-2025 period, as approved by the City People\u2019s Committee; intensifying direct business operations at the parent company; optimizing the performance of Emerald Ho Tram Resort in its first phase while expediting legal procedures for the second phase of investment; proactively implementing the Group\u2019s equitization in accordance with the Prime Minister\u2019s directives; rigorously controlling expenditure plans to ensure business efficiency; reinforcing internal consumption policies across the entire system; systematically reviewing key performance indicators in Party resolutions, assessing progress in implementing resolutions and action plans from the beginning of the tenure; executing the 2024 inspection and supervision program as well as anti-corruption initiatives; and continuing to disseminate information on the socio-economic and cultural development of the city in the early months of 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
